Voyaged to Beaufort today from Savannah. Hard to leave the free Krispy Kreme breakfast. A couple areas were skinny ( shallow) and sometimes were were in a wide sound other times in a narrow channel. That makes it interesting. We took the courtesy car and scoped out a Kazoo factory. They actually let us make one. Then supper and looking at the beautiful homes here. The ceilings on the porches are painted blue ans sometimes have clouds painted on them. Some say to keep the birds from nesting. April 9th Jolee and Bob Anderson joined us for a few days cruise. We secured a parking pass for 4 nights for them and ended up on the boat for dinner. It rained like crazy and the boat was rockin at the dock. Wed the 10th of April we cruised 65 miles to Charleston South Carolina. When we got on the dock (Mega Dock). It was a quarter mile walk just to get to the dock that led to the dock to walk ashore. We made it twice to land . We all took a carriage ride through the streets of Charleston . Wonderful way to travel. We did take the golf cart ride back to the boat the second time.
