St. Augustine FL

March 21st. Happy Spring to all. Left Daytonna this morning at about 8:30. Boat talk. We fueled, we pumped our waste, we filled our water tanks, showered and casted off our ropes. We saw dolphins, bald eagles, pelicans, cormorants, wrecked docks and sunken boats probably from some of the last hurricanes. The wind was about 12 knots today and we could feel current from the changing tides that was sometimes with us and sometimes against us. We saw a couple houseboats that really looked like houses. Bruce had to call only one bridge to open for us today. Our biggest feat was tying to a mooring ball. Here I am with my boat hook out in the wind in the front of the boat trying to snag the rope attached to the mooring ball. I got the port side rope threaded through it and tied back to the boat fairly easily. The starboard rope not so easy. Bruce came to my rescue and got the second one threaded and tied. We have been swinging back and forth like a pendulum. Could almost make you seasick. Now to explore St. Augustine for the next few days.
