Oh yeah! Trying to make it to Northport and waves and wind too much for the Baytripper. TV fell and broke, lights for docking broke off, ropes hanging in the water. Swells throwing our boat around. Thank goodness there was Charlevoix. We turned into Round lake — calmer—- but our anchor wouldn’t hold. Into lake Charlevoix we went. Bottom too soft I guess, anchor dragging. After probably 6 attempts I called one of the marinas. Of course they were full, so I begged and said we couldn’t anchor and we couldn’t take the waves on Lake Michigan. lo and behold they let us stay at the end dock overnight. What a relief. Will we go back out???
